WM Open big winner in Koepka reinstatement

There is no downside to the PGA reinstating Brooks Koepka.

He left the PGA for money. Lots of money on the LIV Tour. He’s coming back to the PGA, leaving lots of cash on the table. Early estimates have it between 50 and 70 million dollars wont see his pocket.

Closer to our little slice of heaven, having Koepka on the tee sheet at the WM Open next month makes for a huge lift. More true golf fans, more national media, more of a challenge for world no. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler, who has already committed to play in Scottsdale.

I’m certain that Koepke will not be given a hero’s welcome at the famed 16th hole if he doesn’t stick his tee shot on the green. Some will just hate for the sake of hate, while most would take the $100 million contract he was offered to jump from the PGA to LIV. Any resentment is probably from players who didn’t like how the whole process went down in the first place.

In 2015, we saw Koepka win at TPC Scottsdale. It was his first PGA Tour event victory. Hoping he’s in a position to do it again next month.
