Both defensive lines got into the backfield often while the linebackers took care of business and the secondary manned the skies beautifully.
Another element that slowed momentum for the Wolves and Bears was undisciplined football which led to several penalties on both sides throughout the contest.
Down the stretch, however, it was Basha who finally broke through to reach paydirt and get ahead 14-7 behind senior Demond Williams Jr and senior Deshaun Buchanan.
And it had to be a defensive play that sealed the deal in this one, as the Bears put an end to Chandler’s hopes after senior Wyatt Milkovic tipped a pass that was picked by junior DJ Jaiman on the Wolves’ final drive.
