On this edition of the Recruiting Roundup brought to you by IBEW Local 640, Claudia Collins highlights three players and discusses their latest offers and visits.
Ja’Kobi Lane Gets Offer From Oregon
Ja’Kobi visited his dream school over the weekend and returned to Arizona with a scholarship to the University of Oregon. Before leaving for his visit, Lane said he was unsure if he would ever choose to commit on the spot, even if the offer was coming from his top program.
Ja’Kobi flew to Eugene with former Williams Field Wide Receiver Kyler Kasper. Kyler is just beginning his first season with the Oregon Ducks but helped Ja’Kobi get the first-hand experience he was looking for. Lane said it was encouraging to see how all his friends who have joined the Ducks have “bought-in” along with the rest of the team. He received the long-awaited offer from the Ducks after running the 40-yard dash, despite not wanting to run, it all worked out in his favor.
