Does it feel like the Suns year? No.

Is there time left to put it all together? Yes.

With 18 games left after Saturday night’s loss to Boston, the Suns are closer to being part of the Play-In game than a top-eight seed. Health has been and continues to be the biggest concern. Any injury to the Big Three, and it’s over. No one can dispute that.  I’m not so concerned with anything other than health.

It’s easy today to say that the Suns are dead. They just need the Big Three and health, and they can make a title run. Very few expect it happen simply because of how the season has gone…

Are the clouds about to part at Always Something University? Every college athletic department has issues, but as we’ve seen and heard for several years, the definition of insanity has been the order of the day in Tempe. Perhaps the bottoming out is finally about to happen.

-The NCAA will soon announce the findings of the investigation into the Herm Edwards/Antonio Pierce era of nonsense within the Sun Devil football program. I don’t know if more penalties will be forthcoming, but the term “show cause” will be included in the findings. I won’t be surprised if the website administrator for Arizona State has to adjust the athletic department roster. I won’t be shocked if the number of violations exceeds those allotted for a football roster. It’s taken much longer than it should for various reasons. Kenny Dillingham and his staff have had to live in a world of uncertainty and questions about the size of the hole they are attempting to dig out of. They need all the landmines and “what’s behind door number 4’s” to be removed…

-I thought it was telling that Dr. Michael Crow reached out to noted Pac-12 insider Jon Wilner about why the search for an athletic director is moving at the speed of a snail. Give his advisors a raise to attempt to start the damage control…
