Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan
He adds to that illustrious career by becoming the second-highest drafted Wildcat football player in program history.
McMillan was selected by the Carolina Panthers with the No. 8 overall pick in this year’s draft. Ricky Hunley still holds the record for the Wildcats after being selected No. 7 overall in 1984.
The program record-holder in receiving yards 3,423, passing his position coach Bobby Wade as that record-holder.

McMillan came to Tucson in one of Jedd Fisch’s best classes, teaming up with his best friend Noah Fifita in Tucson. He flipped from Oregon to Arizona ahead of signing day in 2021. He made an impact as a freshman, catching 39 passes for 702 yards and eight touchdowns.
In 2023, T-Mac and Jacob Cowing teamed up for one of the most explosive wide receiver duos in the country, combining for 180 catches for 2,250 yards and 23 receiving touchdowns. The offense really took flight when Noah Fifita stepped in as starter, and the two Servite High School friends helped push the Wildcats to a 10-win season and Alamo Bowl victory over Oklahoma.
After Brent Brennan took over the program, multiple key Wildcat players opted to stay in Tucson and run it back after their incredible 2023 season. The team announced the move (or lack thereof) at McKale Center during a men’s basketball game against UCLA.

While the win/loss record did not live up to expectations, McMillan still shined with a 1,300 yard season, highlighted by the season-opener against New Mexico where T-Mac and Fifita combined for 304 yards on 10 connections and four touchdowns.
He’ll now look to bring that same level of production with the Carolina Panters.
