Florence defensive end Regen Terry has been one of the most recruited athletes in the town’s history, holding offers from Boston College, ASU, Arizona, Cal, Fresno State, Boise State, Nebraska, Kansas State, UNLV, Oregon State, Iowa State, San Diego State, Utah and Maryland.
On Monday, he committed to the Arizona Wildcats.

The 6-foot-4, 240-pound lineman took an official visit to Tucson November 21st, and the Wildcat coaching staff had an in-home visit with him on Sunday, showing the defensive end and his family he was a top priority to Arizona.
“This is a perfect fit for me. The whole coaching staff wanted me there and expressed to me I was a need instead of a want, which really stood out.”
Terry said earlier this month that change could be a good thing when defensive coordinator Marcel Yates was replaced by Chuck Cecil mid-season. He continues to believe the best is yet to come for the Wildcat defense.
“It’s a true family. Even though they’ve made some changes, I trust Coach Sumlin’s process and we’re going to make some noise next year.”
The Gopher defensive end had virtually identical seasons as a junior and senior, logging 142 tackles, nine sacks and 19 tackles for loss over those two years.
Terry is the third 2020 in-state commitment for the Wildcats, joining Gilbert quarterback Will Plummer and Centennial wide receiver Dyelan Miller.
Arizona is also targetting Higley defensive end Jason Harris, Valley Vista offensive lineman Andrew Rumary and Red Mountain tackle Jake Griffin in this class.
