Kellen Mills dreamed of performing in front of the largest sold out venues in all of sports, in some of the loudest and most intense moments you could dream of. The former Mesa Mountain View football state champion and Arizona State University walk-on was lining up the dream and is living it today – although, not in the way he expected.
Mills has made a career in NASCAR for over a dozen years, now serving as the jackman for Erik Jones and the legendary No. 43 car for Legacy Motor Club. This offseason, Mills was named the recipient of the inagural Richard Petty Award for Excellence, the race team’s highest internal honor, recognizing individuals who embody the values and enduring spirit of “The King,” Richard Petty.
