An Arizona native stands atop the Supercross 250 class points through the opening two races of the 2025 season.
Lake Havasu City’s Julien Beaumer, opened his sophomore pro Supercross season on a high note with a trip to the top of the podium in just the second event of the 2025 season. The 18-year-old earned a runner-up finish in the season opener at Anaheim 1 and parlayed that successful start with his first career professional win on Saturday in San Diego. The victory also earned him the red plate for next Saturday’s race in Anaheim by capturing the 250 West class points lead.

“Got off to a good start and I just tried to be patient behind [Cole] Davies, try to wear him down a little bit and then made my move and just tried to ride my own race,” Beaumer told NBC/Peacock during his podium interview. “I couldn’t be more happy, I’m pretty speechless right now and I’m ready to get back to work.”
The victory marks the Red Bull KTM rider’s first win as a professional and his second win under the Supercross banner which includes his Supercross Futures win in 2023 at his home-state race in Glendale. Beaumer competes in the Supercross 250 West class, a regional series that follows the premier 450 class when they race on the West Coast.
The 250 West season is a sprint with just 10 events to make up the season series. Beaumer’s early points lead over Jordon Smith, Jo Shimoda, and 2-time SuperMotocross World Champion Haiden Deegan, could play a massive role in his hunt for the 250 championship. Beaumer finished seventh in the Supercross 250 West points in 2024 and was set to make a splash this season after an intense offseason, focused on what he learned from his rookie season.
Supercross will drop the gate next with Round 3 this Saturday in Anaheim. With the monkey off his back, Beaumer will also have another opportunity to add to his win total when Supercross returns to his home state of Arizona for their annual round in Glendale on February 1. The race will be streamed exclusively on Peacock with coverage starting at 1:00 p.m. MST and the race broadcast beginning at 6:00 p.m. MST.
Glendale marks Round 4 of the 2025 Supercross season and will host the first “Triple Crown” event of the season. This special event format only happens three times throughout the season which features three A-Main events for the 250 and 450 classes. Fans will get to witness the best of the best duel on the track in three races in each class where the overall points leader at the conclusion of the night claims the event win.
