Devon HenryMonster Energy AMA Supercross whipped back into Glendale this past weekend with the final edition of their prestigious Triple Crown race format. The best of the best in dirt bike racing’s went elbow-to-elbow in three star-studded A-Main events in both the professional 250 and 450 classes. Just before the gates dropped in the final main events for the two premiere classes, the Supercross Futures class took to the track, spotlighting the future dirt bike stars of Supercross.
Lake Havasu City’s, Julien Beaumer, impressed in the opening round of the Futures season at Anaheim where he was the fastest qualifier against stars like Haiden Deegan and Daxton Bennick. While Beaumer had to settle for a 16th-place finishing position, Beaumer picked up a fourth-place finish in Arlington before finally claiming the top step of the podium on Saturday in his home state at the Glendale event.
Supercross Futures not only allows these upcoming stars to compete on the exact same track that pros race on but they also race in front of the same crowd as the pros with everyone in the professional industry watching on since the race is placed right in the middle of the night show events.
The 16-year-old was the fastest qualifier, earned the holeshot, and never looked back in a wire-to-wire victory in front of his home crowd.
Beaumer’s next Futures race with be in East Rutherford, NJ on April 22. Fellow Arizona natives, Casey Benard (Gilbert) finished 11th, and Kaden Lewis (Kingman) finished 18th in the Supercross Futures feature race.
