Player of the Week
* Daniel Bridge-Gadd – QB – Paradise Valley – DBG threw 6 TDs passes and ran for another as PV beat Catalina Foothills.
Coach of the Week
* Richard Taylor – Centennial – It’s hard to keep players motivated when they are down late in the game; down 23-7 in the 4th, Taylor’s Coyotes came back to beat Hamilton.
Team of the Week
* There were some big upsets so I am going to go with multiple teams of the week. Northwest Christian for beating Yuma Catholic, Verrado over Sunrise Mountain and Westview over Williams Field.
Quarterbacks
* Pima’s Parker Blair threw 5 TDs in their win over Valley Union in the D6 title game.
* Saguaro senior Kare Lyles threw 4 TD passes against Queen Creek.
* Centennial’s Isaac Steele had three 4th quarter TDs against Hamilton.
* Mt. Pointe’s Jack Smith had 270 total yards and 2 TDs against Brophy.
* Joy Christian’s Matt Mitchell threw 4 TDs and rushed for 2 more against Bisbee.
Running Backs
* Mt. Pointe’s Macarius Blount had 3 TDs against Brophy.
* Chandler’s T.J. Green had 144 yards and 2 TDs against Desert Vista.
* Sunnyslope’s Jeff Goebel rushed for 237 yards and 3 ds against Bradshaw Mountain.
* Northwest Christian’s Tanner VanHofwegen rushed for 4 TDs against Yuma Catholic.
Receivers
* A.J. Smith from Paradise Valley caught 3 TD passes against Catalina Foothills.
* Bisbee’s Spencer Schuller had 3 TDs against Joy.
Defense/Special Teams/Misc.
* The Northwest Christian defense allowed just 38 yards to a very good Yuma Catholic
