It’s not Kevin Durant on the court, but the Phoenix Suns made a move on Friday night, signing forward Ish Wainright to a multi-year contract.
Wainright has appeared in 42 games for the Suns this season, averaging career highs of 4.3 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 15.5 minutes per game. He has twice scored in double figures, including a season-high 17 points on Feb. 9 at Atlanta, also recording four rebounds, three steals, two assists, and two blocks in that contest.
The 6-5, 235-pound forward is in his second NBA season, both with the Suns. Wainright has appeared in 87 career regular season games (one start), in addition to seven appearances in last year’s playoffs.
