Former Hamilton High School running back Jawhar Jordan was drafted by Houston Texans in the 6th round of the NFL draft. Jordan becomes the 205th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Jawhar was recognized as one of the fastest running backs in the state when he closed out his high school career in Arizona. In his final season at Hamilton he rushed for 1,774 yards with 27 touchdowns.
After his high school career, Jordan continued his college football career at Syracuse in 2019.
In 2021, Jawhar entered the transfer portal and continued his college football career at Louisville. In the 2023 season, Jordan recorded 181 carries for 1,128 with 13 touchdowns.
The 4-foot-10, 193-pound running back recorded a 4.56 in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine.
