Zac Swanson – one of the top players in Arizona’s class of 2022 at Brophy College Prep – is coming home. He announced his intention to transfer to ASU on Thursday night.

The defensive lineman spent his first two years of college at Texas and has worked hard to grow and develop his game over the past few years.
“I think with Zac you have a kid with position versatility,” Brophy head coach Jason Jewell said. “He can be a run-stuffing defensive end on first and second down…On third down he can rush the passer as a three-technique.”
Jewell also said Swanson has gained about 45 pounds since going to Texas and is about 285 pounds and stands at 6-foot-4.5.
In Swanson’s senior season at Brophy, he had 42 tackles, 4.5 sacks and 18.5 tackles for loss.
ASU has seen success with former local standouts who commit elsewhere but transfer back home like Jake Smith, DeCarlos Brooks, Krew Jackson, Tristan Monday, Bram Walden, Cole Martin and Tate Romney.
