There is a simple truth between Adrian Peterson and the Minnesota Vikings.
The two parties are at a crossroads.
At least according to one person close to the situation in the Twin Cities.
“He doesn’t want to be with the Vikings anymore,” Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder insider Larry Fitzgerald, Sr. told Sports360AZ.com’s Brad Cesmat in a phone interview Tuesday morning. “He feels like they had a problem with the way they dealt with him…he felt like he had more loyalty coming to him…he’s soured on staying with Minnesota.”
From an outsider’s perspective it appears the relationship is fractured despite the fact, according to Fitzgerald, the sides have met on separate occasions in Texas and New York.

Now the Vikings are weighing their options in what has quickly become a delicate situation with their troubled superstar who, for now at least, remains the face of their franchise.
“They’re trying to move a superstar and obviously get value out of it,” Fitzgerald explained.
The Arizona Cardinals are looking to upgrade their running game after finishing second-to-last in the NFL in rushing last season. The draft appears loaded with a bevy of talented backs but would making a run at Peterson and his hefty salary work and are the Cards a team Peterson would like to play for as some reputable league sources have hinted?
“I’ve seen a list that has the Cardinals as number two or number three on that list,” Fitzgerald said. “I would think the Cardinals are certainly right there in the hunt to have a chance if they choose to go after Adrian Peterson.”
Fitzgerald also noted the close relationship between Peterson and his son (Larry Fitzgerald, Jr.) who attend the Minnesota State Fair every summer.
The six-time Pro-Bowler and 2012 MVP is three years into his six-year, $96 million contract extension. He has $45 million remaining on the deal which may be too steep a price tag for the Cards who recently signing their own Pro-Bowler Fitzgerald to a new deal.
