Richard Taylor has been at Centennial as the head coach for 35 years.
The Coyotes just won championship number eight under his tenure.
“I’ve been at this a long time,” Taylor said postgame. “It never gets old, each championship is sweeter than the last… I am getting a little bit tired though.”

In a 31-21 victory over Mesa Mountain View, Centennial controled the pace of the game.
Quarterback Kainan Manna controlled the offense with as much poise as ever. He learned a lot since the Open Championship loss to Liberty last season.
“It feels so good to win it this time around,” Manna said. “This team is so special and I’m so proud to be the quarterback.”
The Coyotes are the first team to win a state title in Arizona with seven losses. An 0-4 start was tough, but this team never lost faith.
