Kenny Dillingham made a pledge to Arizona’s high school coaches the day he was hired: If you have a player that is Pac-12-level, the Sun Devils want to offer early, and they want to fight hard to keep players home. They just did that with Eastmark’s Ramar Williams, who made his commit to Arizona State on Saturday.

That Sports360AZ All-Academic honorable mention lists himself at 6-foot4, 245-pounds. According to MaxPreps, he tallied 67 tackles, 4 sacks and 10 tackles for loss in the Firebirds’ state championship season. The Sun Devils have made it a trend this week of finding a player they like at their camp and quickly adding them to their recruiting class. Earlier this week, the Sun Devils earned a commitment from Bradshaw Mountain’s James Giggey after a strong performance at their prep camps.
Along with Williams and Giggey, the Sun Devils earned a commitment from Texas defensive lineman Mason Fleming last week as defensive line coach Vince Amey continues to shape the position room with young talent.
Williams sat down in this edition of Walkin’ On brought to you by Venezia’s Pizzeria to discuss his commitment, feeling grateful for his opportunity in Tempe and what’s next for his senior year.
