‘Calais Keys’ Week 12 vs. St. Louis

Throughout the NFL season Arizona Cardinals defensive end Calais Campbell joins Brad Cesmat every Tuesday at 12:15 for ‘Crunch Time with Calais’ on XTRA Sports 910 and Pros2Preps.com.Each week he shares with us his ‘Calais Keys’ for the Cardinals next opponent

The following the Cards sixth consecutive loss Sunday against the Falcons in Atlanta the Cardinals (4-6) return to University Of Phoenix Stadium Sunday for a showdown against NFC West foe St. Louis (3-6) in Glendale.

Stop the Rams rushing attack: “Steven Jackson is a special guy. I think that’s the main ingredient to beating them is shutting down the run and making them one-dimensional. [Quarterback] Sam Bradford is streaky. He’s hot and cold.”

Contain St. Louis’ best downfield threat:“Danny Amendola is one of the best receivers out there in the game right now in my opinion making play after play. If we can contain Danny and make Sam Bradford throw the ball to somebody else to try to beat us I think we have a good chance.”

Stay together as a team through the losing streak: “There’s definitely not a division [in the locker room]. Earlier in my career the defense struggled and the offense carried us. Right now we have some issues we’re working out on offense…but the defense has to be able to pick up the slack. Sometimes things don’t go as planned.”

Regain the swagger they had after 4-0 start: “We need a win real bad. 10 wins will get you in the playoffs so that’s our goal. We gotta run the table and that’s very possible. We know what we can do. We need one [win] to get us kick-started. It’s been done before and there’s no reason we can’t do it.”
