Calais’ Keys: Week 3 Philadelphia Eagles

Coming off one of the biggest regular season wins in recent memory knocking off the defending AFC Champion New England Patriots 20-18, the Arizona Cardinals return to University of Phoenix Stadium to face Michael Vick and the unbeaten Philadelphia Eagles (2-0) Sunday in Glendale.

Each week Cards defensive end Calais Campbell joins Brad Cesmat on ‘Big Guy on Sports’ and Pros2Preps.com to share “Calais’ Keys” for the upcoming matchup.

Here’s what he said about taking on Philly this weekend.

Get shots on Vick when the opportunity presents itself

“That guy is special. If you watch some of the game film from the first two games, he’s scrambled for so many first downs. What he’s doing now that he didn’t do before is sliding. Now you can’t get those hits on him to slow him down at the end of the game. We got to make sure we keep him in the pocket.”

Contain talented running back LeSean McCoy

“Stop #25…he’s playing at a high level right now. Get some big hits on him…keep him from getting to the edge and making those big plays.”

Make the Eagles’ offense earn every yard

“[We need] to stop the deep ball, the big plays. Anytime you play against a team like the Philadelphia Eagles that have so many playmakers it’s going to be tough, but you have to stop the big play…[Vick] has some playmakers who can go make a play when the time is right so they find a way to win games.”
