ASU Football Throws Out First Pitch at D-backs Opening Day

We saw a literal iteration of “Activate the Valley” on Thursday.

Members of the Arizona State football team were honored ahead of the Diamondbacks’ Opening Day by throwing out the first pitch. Defensive tackle CJ Fite, safety X Alford, quarterback Sam Leavitt and wide receiver Jordyn Tyson threw out the first pitch. Head coach Kenny Dillingham was toting around the Big 12 Championship trophy. Athletic director Graham Rossini – who spent a good chunk of his career with the D-backs – was there, as was new women’s basketball coach Molly Miller.
