During the 2022 NASCAR Championship Weekend at Phoenix Raceway, the Friday Truck Series celebration included a hometown victory. California’s Zane Smith drove his Front Row Motorsports No. 38 to victory lane to win his first career NASCAR Truck Series championship. Along with him celebrating on the championship podium was one of his former competitors and his current engineer, Dylan Cappello, a Liberty High School and Northern Arizona University graduate.
As Smith and the No. 38 team continues to win, Cappello has his eyes on continued growth in NASCAR and one day becoming a Crew Chief.
