St. Mary’s came back from a 15-point deficit to advance to the title game once again. Or at least that was the case until Mesquite point guard Nate Calmese had anything to say about it.
He tipped a pass with less than two seconds on the clock and launched the ball towards the hoop.
It went in.

Mesquite will play Salpointe Catholic on Monday February 28 for a chance at its first state championship.
