Former five-star offensive guard Christian Westerman is coming home.
The Chandler (Ariz.) Hamilton product spent the last two years at Auburn, redshirting one year and starting one game this season, but pending a coaching change, the 6-4 300 pounder asked for a release from the Tigers.
In an exclusive with FoxSportsNext, Christian’s father, Chris Westerman tells us that he will spend his last three years at Arizona State.
The elder Westerman says, “Auburn signed the release, Christian is here in Tempe now, signed his papers, took a physical and already has an apartment right near ASU. He spent most of yesterday up at the facilities yesterday and we came away impressed with Coach Graham, Connelly and Norvell.”
As of now, Christian will have to sit out the 2013 season per NCAA rules.
