I kicked off my 2015 high school football season with a couple games in Peoria. One of which was Basha at Liberty. Two teams with a lot they want to prove this season. The Bears out to prove their are contenders in division I and the Lions making their first appearance at the division I level.
In the game we saw that Bears offense which was electric once again behind junior quarterback Ryan Kelley. We have discussed the incredible offensive line blocking for him during spring ball and summer workouts but how about the new faces he is throwing to? I dive into the receiving targets of Kelley who look to have breakout seasons.
And for Liberty, former quarterback Tyler Wyatt is off to Grand Canyon University to play baseball so I introduce you to his replacement this season under center. And that quarterback has a lot of weapons to work with this season. Some are returning stars but their is an out-of-state transfer that has already made his presence felt just after one game.
The Bears were winners to open up the 2015 season with a 45-24 final over the Lions. Liberty heads out for their first road game against Mountain Ridge next and Basha will have their home opener against Cienega.
