The Arizona State Sun Devils no longer control its own destiny in the Pac-12 South.
The loss to Utah marks the first conference loss for Herm Edwards’ squad in 2021.
“I was very surprised that they kind of recoiled when Utah came out in the second half,” Jon Wilner said. “I expected ASU to stand tall because they’ve upgraded their lines of scrimmage. I didn’t think it’d be like that 2019 game.”
Wilner went on to compare the Edwards’ era to the Todd Graham era, where the level of success wasn’t much different to this point.
