This was not your ordinary trip to the neighborhood barber.
Last month, ten-year-old Erin Bailey of Scottsdale was given the opportunity to shave the head of Bill Bray. Erin was diagnosed with Non-Hodgekins Lymphoma at the age of six but has now been in remission for two years.
Bray, who is a relief pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds, thought of doing this in an effort to raise money for the St. Baldricks foundation. He draws his inspiration through his cousin Trevor who has been in a fight with Neuroblastoma for the last five years. Trevor shaves his head every year for the foundation and Bray decided that he wanted to do the same.
With the help of Erin, Bray was able to raise $5,000 for St. Baldricks.
See the amazing story through their eyes.
