Former UTEP wide receiver Jacob Cowing announced he would transfer to Arizona.
Cowing, who is originally from Maricopa, is coming off a breakout season where he caught 69 passes for 1,367 yards and seven touchdowns in 2021.
First want to say thank you to all the coaches I have talked to these past couple weeks. With that being said with the great conversations I’ve had with the coaching staff I have decided to commit to The University of Arizona for my last 2 years🙏🏽#beardown🐻⬇️@CoachJeddFisch pic.twitter.com/Nn2YpZBMOQ

After entering the transfer portal on December 21, he announced offers from Arizona State, Mississippi State, Arizona, Oregon, South Carolina, LSU, Liberty, Virginia Tech, Ole Miss, Lousiville, Texas Tech and Florida in the span of six days.
Cowing and Wildcat signee Tetairoa McMillian – the highest rated signee in Arizona history – along with tight end Keyan Burnett provide plenty of new options in the Arizona passing game.
Cowing is the second Arizona transfer today, joining linebacker Hunter Echols.
