Tyon Grant-Foster has been everything Bryce Drew could has asked for in his first year in the Lopes.
He’s been a leader. He’s the conference player of the year. He’s made a good team better.

Grant-Foster is grateful for the opportunity to be a leader on the Lopes roster, but also just be back on the court.
Just a few years ago, he collapsed on two separate occasions and required heart surgery. His road to recovery meant a 16 month absence from the sport he loved.
When he was eventually cleared and looking for a new home, Grand Canyon stuck out because he could deepen his faith. His head coach Bryce Drew also needed three heart surgeries when he was a player, so he knew the ups and downs of navigating a complicated course back to the court.
Safe to say it’s worked out.
