Ty Gibbs overcame some setbacks on pit road to out run his three JR Motorsports competitors in the Championship 4 to claim this year’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship. The 20-year-old brings a title to his grandfather at Joe Gibbs Racing.
Gibbs led the series this season with seven wins this season including this season finale at Phoenix Raceway.
The NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race will cap off the 2022 edition of NASCAR Championship Weekend at Phoenix Raceway and drops the green flag at 1:00 p.m. MST.
