The top offensive lineman and No. 3 overall prospect in the state of Arizona made his college commitment early Sunday evening. Highland’s Caleb Lomu announced his decision to continue his football career at Utah following the Ute’s win over Colorado on Saturday.

The four-star offensive lineman had nearly two dozen offers to choose from, including offers from in-state schools ASU and Arizona and had offers across the country. Lomu had many programs making a strong push for him but Utah was always in the mix of schools that asserted their interest. Michigan and USC ultimately fell into the final mix of schools he was considering and made recent visits to.
Utah clinched their spot in the Pac-12 Championship after defeating Colorado and will play USC.
Lomu comes in as the No. 3 prospect in Arizona and falls among the top 20 offensive tackles in the nation. Earlier this month, Lomu was honored with the invitation to the 2023 All-American Bowl Game. The annual East vs. West game will take place at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on Jan. 7.
