Koa Peat, the latest future NBA talent out of Perry High School, has Arizona State and Arizona on his final list of college destinations. I’m 99% sure he’ll be a one-and-done player. With NIL, you never know if a player can star and make good money by staying in college rather than sitting on the bench in the NBA.
2025 5⭐️ Koa Peat (@kpeat10) has scheduled the following official visits
8/30- Arizona State
9/13- Arkansas
9/20- Duke
9/27- Baylor

I’ve watched Koa on the basketball court since he was in grade school. I am pleased that he has stayed at Perry rather than go the prep school route. The Peats are very loyal, and having a coach like the legendary Sammy Duane bring Peat along has been the right move. There are plenty of good high school basketball programs in the state, but Duane and the Pumas are atop the list. I am unsurprised that Bobby Hurley and the Sun Devils are on his final list of college choices. Hurley has worked hard on building the NIL front, the program has been on Peat for an extended period, and the Sun Devils are just a short car ride away for the tight-knit Peat family. Regardless of his college choice, dropping in on a Perry game this year would be worth it. You’ll thank me later…
Players’ weekend should become a regular part of Major League Baseball. What is wrong with a player using a bat as a crayon if it’s all regulation? Joc Pederson did just that on Friday night in Tampa. Fans love the personality shown when music is played as a walk-up song before an at-bat. Just look at the sold-out crowds for the zany Savannah Banana games. MLB should take notice of what fans are shelling out for their entertainment https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10132023-savannah-bananas-are-the-viral-sensation-re-defining-baseball-and-its-fans
At what point is there concern about Zac Gallen? Saturday, the Diamondback TV broadcast team mentioned that Gallen’s velocity on the fastball was down. He threw 98 pitches(35 balls), allowed nine hits, and was gone after just five innings against Tampa Bay. The previous start had a premature ending because of Gallen’s cramp issues. His earned run average is approaching four. Something isn’t quite right…
