Giveaways/Takeaways from Arizona State’ 53-24 win over Washington.

WIll Sutton, Carl Bradford and the rest of the ASU defense laid the wood on Huskies’ quarterback Keith Price. By the time he was knocked out of the game in the 4th quarter with a thumb injury, he had been sacked six times. At the start of the season Price was viewed as just a notch below the top QB’s in the league but on Saturday he wasn’t a factor.

Huskies running back Bishop Sankey came in as the number one ranked rusher in the nation. He finished with just 22 yards.

Most of the night Washington was in bad field position. We saw a lot of 3rd and double digits. The Huskies had 10 possessions where they went three and out.

Grice, Grice baby. Three touchdowns (including an amazing one-handed catch) and several gashes to the Washington defense for 158 yards. The Washington defense gave up 585 total yards

Wide Receiver Jaelen Strong stood on the sideline and watched for most of the game after twisting his ankle early in the game. Scary thing is ASU put up 53 points with him watching.

Washington Head Coach Steve Sarkisian is in trouble. He may have a great offensive mind but his team is going the wrong direction in season number five. Put him in the hot seat.

Arizona State is heading to Pullman, Washington next. Two seasons ago they played Washington State up there and rolled over under former head coach Dennis Erickson.

Five wins down, five games to go. There is nothing easy about the rest of their schedule.
