Suns Get KD, Fans Thrilled And Heartbroken

For weeks there were whispers that Kevin Durant would get traded to the Phoenix Suns. On Feb. 9, less than 12 hours after Matt Ishbia took ownership of the Suns, he pulled off a trade that will go down in history. Ishbia is potentially just one starter away from building a championship team.

The immediate reaction of many fans was that of excitement…but it appears that excitement was quickly met with the realization that the Suns were losing the “twins.”

The Suns look solid with four out of five starters lined up – Devin Booker, Chris Paul, Deandre Ayton and now Kevin Durant. But it came at the cost of losing fan favorites Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson. Across Arizona, this duo is better known as the “twins” and the two have been key fixtures for the Suns since the day they arrived in the Valley.
