Sun Devil’s Desmond Cambridge Jr. sunk a half-court buzzer-beater to take down the Unversity of Arizona 89-88 on the Wildcat’s home court.

Desmond Cambridge was the star of the game through-and-through, putting up 19 points for the Sun Devils. DJ Horne and Warren Washington combined for 34 points for ASU.
Cedric Henderson Jr. led the Wildcats on the court with 19 points and Azuolas Tubelis contributed 17 points.
The game-winning half-court bucket wasn’t the first buzzer-beater of the season for Cambridge either. On Jan. 19 Cambridge sunk a half court shot going into halftime against UCLA. However, unlike the game against the Bruins, the end result of the in-state rivalry game worked in favor of the Sun Devils.
WHAT. A. SHOT!

Saturday’s victory is already being referred to as one of the memorable wins in Sun Devil Basketball history. Despite an ASU 46-45 lead at halftime, it didn’t look like it would be a storybook ending for the Sun Devils in the back half of the game. With 6:30 left on the clock ASU was trailing by 10 points.
The Sun Devils look ahead to a rematch against No. 4 UCLA on Thursday while the Wildcats also look ahead to a Thursday game at Southern California.
