Mercury star guard, Skylar Diggins-Smith, has earned a spot on the All-WNBA First Team alongside Breanna Stewart, Candace Parker, Kelsey Plum, and the MVP in A’ja Wilson.
This is Diggins-Smith’s second year in a row making the First Team after averaging nearly 20 points per game as well as 5.5 assists and four boards per contest.
She was third in points per game (19.7), seventh in assists per game, and eighth in steals per game (1.53) while leading the league in minutes per game with 34.
While she missed the last four games and the playoffs due to personal reasons, she still put up 25+ points in 10 games, good for second in the WNBA behind Breanna Stewart.
As of now, Diggins-Smith is under contract for next season and Phoenix general manager Jim Pitman expects her to suit up for the Mercury this upcoming year.
