The offseason is off to a blistering start in the valley.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Phoenix Suns and Washington Wizards are working towards finalizing a trade with Bradley Beal as the centerpiece.
BREAKING: The Washington Wizards are finalizing a trade to send All-Star G Bradley Beal to the Phoenix Suns, sources tell ESPN. Beal’s waiving his no-trade to form a new Big 3 with Devin Booker and Kevin Durant. Teams are still working thru framework, but Beal is headed to Suns. pic.twitter.com/0lQrSh370q

Woj says the current trade would send Chris Paul, Landry Shamet, and multiple second-round picks to the Wizards in exchange for Beal.
The three-time all-star is set to make $47 million this year. He’s averaged 22.1 points per game through 11 seasons
Last week false reports came out saying the Suns were releasing Paul. It was later reported that the team would work on finding a trade partner or would eventually release him to save at least $15 million.
Now Phoenix will build around Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Beal. That trio will make around $150 million combined per year from 2024-2026.
Deandre Ayton is still on the roster but it’s likely he will be dealt as well.
This is an ongoing story, but it looks like Mat Ishbia and the Suns are going all in on superstar talent. It is the NBA though, so anything can happen.
