Commitments

A’Mauri Washington – 2023 Chandler, Defensive Lineman

Chandler Wolves’ defensive tackle/defensive end made his commitment to Oregon following the Wolves’ first game of the season in California against Cathedral Catholic. Following the 63-7 win A’Mauri made the announcement to his team by revealing his Oregon Ducks attire under his football pads.

Offers and Updates

Bastian Vanden Bosch – 2026 Brophy College Prep, Defensive End

2026 defensive end Bastian Vanden Bosch was offered by the University of Arizona on Sept. 8. The offer comes as no surprise to Broncos head coach Jason Jewell as he made it clear that Bastian is one to watch over the coming years.

“Bash probably has the best motor of any freshman I have ever seen play, ever. And that shouldn’t be a surprise considering how his father, Kyle, played,” Jewell said. “He’s got a lot of room to grow but he has the tools to be the next great defensive lineman that comes out of Brophy.”

Mardale Rowe – 2024 Brophy College Prep, Edge

Mardale Rowe has been kicking his recruitment into high gear lately. The class of 2024 edge has recently received offers from the University of Kansas, University of Colorado and ASU in early June. Right now he is the No. 7 prospect in the class of 2024 in Arizona and is No. 34 edge nationally. Rowe posted 56 tackles and seven sacks in his sophomore season and is expected to make a huge impact for BCP football this season.

Jeremiah (JJ) Newcombe – 2024 Casteel, Cornerback

Casteel cornerback JJ Newcombe has racked up a few offers over the past few weeks. The latest offers come from Ole Miss and the University of Kansas. JJ took a road trip with his father and football coach Bobby Newcombe to visit a dozen schools but does not have a specific deadline in mind for a commitment. Jeremiah is often recognized as one of the top athletes in the state and one of the best offensive football players with his speed and athleticism.

Bear Tenney – 2025 Hamilton, Tight End

Class of 2025 tight end Bear Tenney took in one of the most watched college football games of opening weekend from the sidelines. Tenney visited Columbus with his family to check out the Buckeyes take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Sept. 4. He got his offer from the Buckeyes in late June but has received a handful of offers since.

Bear attended a camp at Ohio State over the summer and was impressed with his experience.

“Kevin Wilson, the tight ends coach has really made an impression on me and I really like how they use their tight ends,” Tenney said. “He said he really likes my speed and size and I can catch the ball and block so they can really use me.”
