Randy Bennett Goes In-Depth On Offseason Works with ASU Men’s Hoops

Arizona State men’s basketball is off and running under Randy Bennett. While the team has been in camp for a couple weeks now, Tuesday was the first time media was able to watch the new squad.

Bennett said the group is focused on laying a foundation for this year and beyond in Tempe.

One of the first things you notice when watching this time is the size and length of the roster. The Sun Devils have three players who are at least seven-feet tall and have substantial size at each position. Bennett describes why that is so crucial in the Big 12:

I asked Bennett who has stepped up as a leader early on and he pointed to a few returners (for him) in Saint Mary’s transfers Paulius Murauskas and Dillan Shaw. He tabbed Portland transfer and point guard Joel Foxwell as another player who has stepped up. He’s also been impressed with Gonzaga transfer Emmanuel Innocenti, and Bennett has high expectations for Bryce Ford, who is the only one on the roster who has logged game time for the Devils.

There will also be the Randy Bennett Basketball Camp for 1st-8th graders at the end of July. You can register for that here.

Bennett described the importance of these camps and embedding themselves within the community:
