It’s not climbing to the top that’s difficult, it’s staying there.
The ninth-ranked Perry High School football team has been steadily improving their record this season to 6-0, winning both the close and blowout games in their perfect run to early October.

What’s going to prove to be the ultimate challenge is keeping the perfect record in tact as they head through their most difficult stretch of the season. Chandler, Brophy, Hamilton and neighboring rival Basha are on the Pumas’ schedule the next four weeks.
Perry has never started a season 7-0 before and has never defeated the Wolves.
Puma head coach Preston Jones said Chandler’s impressive offense will prove to be the main challenge for his team.
“Our best defense will be our offense,” Jones said to Sports360AZ.com. “We need to get first downs and try to control the clock.”
Chandler Unified School District Athletic Director Marcus Williams said Perry has had strong participation both on and off the field this season as Jones continues to build and improve the program.
“I do see Perry having one, if not the best season, in this school’s history,” Williams told Sports360AZ.com.
