While the stadium was new the energy was exactly what you would expect at a Phoenix Rising game. Rising head coach Rick Schantz felt right at home at the new location.
“It felt like the old stadium a little bit,” Schantz said. “You don’t want to close a chapter on our history at all.”

Schantz was thrilled that the traditions that were carried out at the old stadium location didn’t fall short at Wild Horse Pass.
The home opening matchup against San Diego was expected to be an early test for Phoenix and the Rising rose to the occasion.
“We learned from our mistakes and today we were very focused,” said Rising midfielder, Santi Moar.

Rising defender Ryan Flood felt more at home than ever in the new Phoenix Rising stadium. The Arizona native and Corona del Sol alumni was thrilled to have the opportunity to play for his home team.
“It feels fantastic playing in front of the fans and playing in the new stadium,” said Flood.
After this home win Flood feels that the team has proven to fans and competitors that they will have another successful year.
“It shows every team who we are and what we’re going to do this year,” Flood said.
With new energy comes a new set of expectations moving forward in the homestand.
“Now I can say that they’ve set a standard that they shouldn’t drop below,” said Schantz.
