NFL columnist Peter King of NBC Sports joined Brad Cesmat recently to talk about the state of the Arizona Cardinals at this point in the Kliff Kingsbury era.
Kingsbury is 8-12-1 since taking over the Bird Gang, but there has been progressive strides forward entering year two with Kingsbury and quarterback Kyler Murray at the helm. With defensive pieces like safety Budda Baker, cornerback Byron Murphy Jr., and linebacker Isaiah Simmons, as well as the standout receiving talent of DeAndre Hopkins, there is reason to be optimistic about the future.
However, these next six weeks should be a measuring stick of how far along Kingsbury and his group are. The upcoming schedule features games against the Dallas Cowboys, Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, and the Seattle Seahawks twice.
It’s a gauntlet, and the strength of this year’s Cardinals will be tested. Cesmat and King discuss all of that, and more in the segment. The Cardinals are at Dallas tomorrow night on Monday Night Football.
