Philadelphia

Hello America, these are the World Series bound Arizona Diamondbacks. You didn’t want them in the playoffs because you felt that they didn’t have the stars (not true). They’re a small market team with an even smaller payroll (neither matters when it comes to winning games). They lost 110 games just two years ago. Blah, blah, blah. Lots of manure being spread the last couple of weeks by those behind microphones and laptops. Well, too bad, because the Diamondback are in the World Series after eliminating the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday night 4-2.

Bryce Harper and Trea Turner combine for $600-million in payroll while Corbin Carroll is just a kid who signed a ten year contract before taking 200 big league at-bats. Carroll is going to the World Series. Harper and Turner will watch on their respective couches.

Corbin Carroll came in to the media center to answer some questions after the locker room celebration was complete. You could hear his wet shoe steps up to the podium and he admitted that he was shivering from the bubbly celebration. He looked cold to me.

I mean, cold blooded. He took apart the Phillies in Game 7, with three hits and two rbi’s.

It’s 3:15am and I’m trying to put a few more Three Dot Thoughts down before heading to the airport for my 5:30am flight back to the Valley. Not coming to me right now. I’m just amused with those that keep crushing this team for continuing to win…
