Hey everyone, welcome to On The Rocks! I’m your trail guide, Claudia Collins. I’m taking you along on new adventures as I check outdoor activities off of my Arizona bucket list. Today we’re hiking the Saguaro Loop Trail in the Tonto National Forest.
The Saguaro Loop Trail is made up of three trails – Saguaro Trail, Ridge Trail, and Granite Trail. It’s 3.9 miles long with 521 feet of elevation gain. I realized while hiking that this trail that it’s better suited for mountain bikers than for hikers. So if you are a mountain biker you definitely want to add this to your list, if you’re a hiker just be prepared to make way for bikers!
