Hey everyone, welcome to On The Rocks! I’m your trail guide, Claudia Collins. I’m taking you along on new adventures as I check outdoor activities off of my Arizona bucket list. Today we’re climbing Camelback Mountain to visit Santa Claus!
Camelback Mountain via Echo Canyon Trail is a 2.5-mile hike, with over 1,400 feet of elevation gain, and it is extremely difficult.
I decided to hike Camelback Mountain for a couple of reasons – it had been a while since I’d hiked Camelback, I knew Santa Claus was at the top giving away candy canes, and it was my birthday and I wanted to hike a difficult trail that wouldn’t take all day to climb!
