Arizona lost Sunday at Minnesota 23-22.
Here’s a snapshot of the offense that struggled – 16 play drive, 10-play drive, 11 play drive all ended in field goals rather than touchdowns for the Cardinals. “It was a total team loss,” head coach Jonathan Gannon said afterward
The defense played well enough to win the game, but the inconsistent Cardinal offense was on display for the second week in a row. Arizona scored just one touchdown between last week’s loss at Seattle and came up short against the Vikings. Kyler Murray threw two interceptions and had a poor statistical showing(31-45-260 with a quarterback rating of just 72.5). The run game put up 154 yards, but it was not able to push one into the end zone.
The Cardinals had ten penalties for 156 yards.
With the loss, the Cardinals have dropped two straight and now have a must-win divisional home game next Sunday against Seattle.
With five games left and a record of 6-6, the Cardinals are just one game out of first place in the NFC West.
