March 25th will be here before you know it. Phoenix Rising FC opens their 2017 USL season that day, with a home match against Toronto. They will do it in their new “pop-up” stadium just off the Red Mountain 202 freeway and McClintock road on the Tempe/Scottsdale border.
Team Co-owner Tim Riester told me through text message late Friday night that everything with the stadium is coming together. “The grass was installed on the stadium field this week, It’s looking sweet.” He added that the corporate suites are finished along with the Supporters sections.
Here is a rendering of what the pop up stadium will look like upon completion.
