Josele Ballester Using U.S. Amateur Championship Experience in Final ASU Season

It’s been a whirlwind weekend for Josele Ballester. The Sun Devil golfer took home the US Amateur Championship on Sunday, another big-time experience he can use in his college season starting up this fall.

He is the first men’s golfer from Spain to take home the title and the fourth Sun Devil to earn the honor, joining Jeff Quinney, Phil Mickelson and Billy Mayfair.

He’s now eligible to play in The Masters, U.S. Open and Open Championship in 2025, and Ballester hopes this win can help catapult his game and the rest of the Sun Devils to a national championship.
