As the San Diego State preps for the men’s basketball national championship, fans in the Pac-12 footprint can’t help but think what the Aztec program could add to the program.
A rumored top choice for the Pac-12 if the conference expands, the Azteces are performing at a rate that could force university presidents’ hands according to Pac-12 insider Jon Wilner.
“They’ve left the presidents with no choice. They’ve backed them into a corner. It’s like, ‘you better invite us because otherwise you’re going to look foolish if you don’t.'”
Wilner breaks down San Diego State’s resumé and how they become the conference’s most logical new addition if the Pac-12 went that route.
