Good things happen to good people. Jeff Hornacek is going to be the head coach of the New York Knicks. Multiple reports indicate that the Knicks have hired the former Suns coach to replace interim Kurt Rambis. Phoenix fired Hornacek back in February after the team went 14-35. His run as coach of the Suns was filled with adversity. Player suspensions, injuries, poor performance on the court, and constant turnover on the roster.
The Knicks finished the 15-16 season with a 32-50 record. Their roster does have some talent with Kristaps Porzingis and Carmelo Anthony. Knicks president Phil Jackson is pulling a bit of a surprise with the hiring of Hornacek, whose name wasn’t attached to the New York job until the last twenty-four hours.
