Heim Time Finally Arrives for a Championship at Phoenix Raceway

The clock finally rang Heim Time for the crown jewel at Phoenix Raceway.

After a record-breaking season featuring 12 victories, Corey Heim and TRICON Garage sealed the deal at Phoenix Raceway for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Championship. The 23-year-old was arguably the top driver in the series in 2023 and 2024, but continually came up short due to chaos in the single-race championship format. His dominant three-year span included 21 series wins, 12 poles, 58 top tens, and an average finish of nearly 6th.

Heim broke the series record for the most laps led in the season by leading at least two laps in all of the series’ 25 races on the 2025 schedule. He also ended the year with 11 consecutive top-three finishes, the only driver in series history to accomplish that feat. TRICON Garage also ties the series record with five straight wins for the team.

The remaining Championship 4 drivers were Ty Majeski, who finished second, Kaden Honeycutt with a third-place finish, and Tyler Ankrum was collected in a late race crash to finish 14th. Layne Riggs finished fourth in the race and fourth in the Owners Championship with Rajah Caruth rounding out the top-five.

Goodyear native and Grand Canyon University alum, Nathan Byrd, earned his third top-15 finish of the season for Young’s Motorsports with a 15th-place finish. Scottsdale transplant and TV star, Frankie Muniz, earned his fourth top-20 of the season with a 19th-place finish for Reaume Brothers Racing.
