The 6-foot, 205-pound safety was ranked the No. 2 safety in the nation by 247 Sports in the class of 2022. As a freshman, he played in 13 games with 39 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and a forced fumble.
In his sophomore season, he saw action in the first three games before not finding the field again with the Gators.
The Sun Devils will be well positioned at the safety position. Shemari Simmons returns for the Devils after transferring in last year, tallying 73 tackles and an interception. Kenny Dilllingham said on social media that Shamari would be a leader on this team.
With Wilson now joining the ranks and Texas/USC safety Xavion Alford now eligible, the Sun Devils will have a lot of college experience at safety. Josiah Cox and Montana Warren also are slated to take strides in their second years with the program.

247Sports had this to say about Wilson’s game coming out of high school:
Thrives in run support, but can also stick with most tight ends and running backs in coverage, at least the ones he saw on Friday nights. Quick to trigger. Takes sharp, clean angles while in pursuit. Knows how to get home on a blitz and always seems to be making stops behind the line of scrimmage. Tends to play faster than he tests and gets downhill with a full head of steam.
It’s been a good day so far for the Devils. In addition to Wilson’s commitment, former USC running back Raleek Brown also announced his intention to transfer to ASU.
